Sparkly Cheetah Spots...

I've recently bought a Nubar that I really like...its the holographic polish named Jewel..

Then with this nice sparkly brown color I decided to do a cheetah inspired mani... (also I think its partially because my co-worker was wearing a cheetah print top to work the other day..haha)

Then I used my bundle monster plate to stamp the cheetah print onto my nails...

Then as an accent finger I put silver shatter on top of my index finger...it didn't shatter as nicely as I hoped but I think its still nice looking..

And then these shots were taken in the sun... i reaally like the sparkly-ness of this mani..

So Im going on a trip soon and I had to pack what polishes to bring...that was one of the hardest thing to do! *sigh* All I could bring was whatever polish that fit into this bag... >.< I cant even remember what stuff I stuffed in there... *sigh* hopefully when I go on my trip I can pick up some more polishes... and hopefully I can still post every couple of days...hope everyone is having a great summer so far!Pin It

Pa pa pa Poker face pa pa pa Poker face...

Over at Cult Nails, Maria is having a contest for Lady Gaga inspired nails...so obviously I chose her famous Poker Face video as my inspiration....this was a hard one...I was all psyched up then all of a sudden WHAM! I had a brain fart and I got stuck for the longest time...

This was what I started with I used Revlon- Black Lingerie and Ink Nail Art in red... but then I got stuck...and the Revlon was chipping like no other.... >.< it was MAYJOR fail....

Then after a bunch of brainstorming...it hit me...

I started with 2 coats of one of my all time favorites, OPI's Lincoln Park after Dark...

Then using some rhinestones and small nail art balls (I bought them at CVS) I made the design on my middle finger,

a heart on my ring finger (I first used my dotting tool to draw a heart with Nubar- Prize..then outlined with the silver balls and the same process for my thumb but I made a diamond instead..to make it more clean I used tape to make my diamond then polish and silver balls around...), and I used the gold balls for the spade on my pointer finger...

and for my pinky I stamped with BM19 and I just cleaned it so only the clubs would stamp onto my pinky...

 For the finishing touches I used Milani- Gems (I individually placed the glitter) onto my ring finger around the heart, I used China Glaze- Millennium to make random dots around the spade, and NYC- Starry Silver Glitter around the diamond on my thumb... voila!Pin It

Flower Girl ^_^

After working with dark colors for a while I felt like doing some feminine...so girly florals it is ;) ..

I pulled out my China Glaze- For Audrey (I cannot stress how much i ♡ this color...its like a Tiffany's blue-ish greenish color and the name For Audrey.. I ah-dore Audrey Hepburn/ Breakfast at Tiffany's so even more ♡♡♡ to this).

I used China Glaze- For Audrey as the base color, the flowers I used Nubar-Prize/ Sally Hansen White On for the pink flowers, and Opi for Sephora- It's like Rain dear/ Sally Hansen- White On and the leaves I used Revlon- Matte Suede- Emerald City...and then I swiped on a layer of Northern Lights Gold Holographic top coat... and Seche Vite to even things out...

So I started with 1 coat of China Glaze- For Audrey..you can use another coat but I felt that one coat was already opaque enough..

 

Because I was lazy I just put a few drops of the polish onto the counter (finish your flowers first before you dab the drop of matte suede...b/c the matte color dries kinda fast...)

 Using your dotting tool (or toothpick or end of a bobby pin) dot 3-4 semi-generous drops of red or your preferred flower color onto your nail..

top it with a white dot....then using a swirl-like motion with your dotting tool...swirl the 2 colors together...and then dab small long shapes to form the leaves... I added a little pizzaz by adding small dots of Nubar-Prize onto the pink flower nails and dots of OPI for Sephora- Its like Rain dear and Sally hansen- White on onto the gold flower nail.....

Purple Ombre nails~

It's raining cats and dogs here right now >.< wow... anyway today I decided to tone things down and just do a simple ombre mani. Lately my subconscious has been helping me buy a lot of purple polishes.. I didn't even know until today haha...

At first I thought it would be real quick but then I decided it was a bit plain so I added some glitter topcoat.. in the end it took a while to wait for the colors to dry and the topcoats to dry...but overall this mani was faster/simpler then stamping or other nail art...

Here's what I used... Nubar- Purple Rain Glitter (thumb), Zoya- Mira (index), OPI for Sephora- Iris I was Thinner (middle), Milani 3d Holographic- Hi Res (ring), and Essie- Lilacism (pinky)

Then to add some pizzazz to the mani I added a layer of both Northern Lights gold glitter topcoat and OPI Femme De Cirque- I Juggle...Men to my index and pinky fingers... and also I put a thin thin thin layer of OPI for Sephora- Too Good For him to my middle finger...

Yay for Polish mail!! I love you mr.mailman...hehe... today I recieved not 1 not 2 no not even 3 but 5 polishes in the mail *does happy dance*..

hehe super happy...will swatch later...and do another post with a mani too but I was too excited/happy about all these polishes..
I got(from the BOGO promo) Zoya- Mira, Zoya- Faye (its sooo purrty!!), my first ever Orly polish- Space Cadet, China Glaze- For Audrey, and Nubar Purple Rain Glitter (from Jen's blogsale at ThePolishaholic) woo hoo....

anyways..on another note...when I was cleaning up my bundle monster plates I got cut from the plates... *ouch* gotta be more careful... >.<

Swatches of my new polishes...

Now that spring break is over and school is back on track I feel like I may have less time to play with my nail.. >.< so sad... we'll see though.. anyways a few days ago I posted about the new polishes I bought...

and I swatched one finger of each color but I didnt post those pictures..

First was this No Miss polish.. personally I've never heard of this brand before but I was shopping around at my local Down to Earth store and these polishes were on sale and the gorgeous blue-purpley shimmer in the bottle caught my eye. It's so pretty!

 Next was China Glaze- Candie... this was 2 coats on the nail..it still looks good but I think I'd use this over another base color to give it more oomph.. *the pink glitter is ah-mazing....its a totally different glitter then the OPI/Katy Perry- Teenage Dream..

Then came Nubar- Prize... this is the 3nd bottle of Nubar I have..but the first that I could use as a color on its own...I have Nubar 2010 and another Nubar that is more of a glittery coat that I use as a top coat instead of just polish...I think this color is nice but it doesn't really compliment my skin tone that well..I think I'll end up using this for when I do nail art...

Then came Essie-Sew Psyched.... I've been lusting after this polish for the longest time ev-er! Living here in Hawaii there's not many places that sells Essie or even if they do, I dont have a wide array of colors to choose from..I found this little baby on Amazon for 5.99 plush 1.50 shipping I think...waaay worth it...I'm soo glad I bought this!

And finally OPI Designer Series-Radiance.. This silver is so reflective...its pretty stunning...there's not much I can say about it ;)

Then before I took off everything I tried a coat of Candie over the DS-Radiance...the peachey Candie over the Reflective silver gave this an overall milky white/grey color...very interesting combo.... and then over the No Miss polish it subdued the hot pink color a bit and gave it some glittery-ness...

From then to now I'm happy/sad to say I bought some more to my collection. I'll be swatching and taking pictures of them soon ;) ciao~Pin It
